· Hired and developed QA staff consisting of a Senior Test Engineer and a junior Test Engineer. Managed all phases of testing throughout SDLC.
· Set up and managed complex test bed for digital matrix switch (DMSS) network area storage system. The switch OS is a proprietary Linux / Cisco IOS kernel customized for video frames. The network area storage utilized Raid 0 and Raid 5. Extensive use of ethereal, Cisco debug commands, and syslog analysis to find bugs. Set up video multicasting in lab environment.

· Set up and maintained complex QA test network; extensive troubleshooting required. Test tools included SmartBits test set. Managed Bugzilla defect tracking program.
· Hired and developed QA staff consisting of 3 Senior Software Test Engineers and 1 entry level Software Test Engineer. Managed all phases of testing throughout SDLC. Mentored Georgia Tech engineering students.
· Developed business case for and designed and managed development of an intrusion detection software QA test tool capable of automating testing scenarios for both functional and performance IDS testing. QA test time reduced by 50%.
· Found and documented over 800 software and hardware StealthWatch defects. StealthWatch is a state of the art Linux based (C, J2EE, and Pearl code) network security appliance. Wrote Linux shell scripts to automate QA test scenarios.
